​Elisabeth Verges
Elisabeth Vergès, EU ESFRI Executve board member, is Doctor in Sciences from University Paris Sud, is Head of the Strategy for Research and Innovation at the French Ministery in charge of Higher Education and Research. She studied Earth Sciences at University Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris. She is an expert in biogeochemical processes in deep-ocean sediments, lacustrine sediments and surface environments.
Her work on the role of microorganisms in preserving organic matters in sediments and rocks, lead her to study current carbon storage in present environments (oceans, lakes, peatbogs), the biogeochemical processes that govern it, its impact on carbon cycle and climate. She took the leadership of numerous national, European and international research projects.

Ana Proykova
Prof. Ana I. Proykova, is a Full Professor for Atomic and Molecular Physics at the University of Sofia and the Head of the High Performance Computing Laboratory at the Sofia Tech Park. he is a member of the Program Committee on the Nanotechnologies, Advanced Materials, Advanced Manufacturing and Processing, and Biotechnology (H2020) and a member of the Scientific Committee on Health, Environmental and Emerging Risks (SCHEER). She is the Chair of the ESFRI Strategic Working Group on Data, Computing and Digital Research Infrastructures and Bulgarian delegate in the ESFRI Forum.

Sverker Holmgren
Sverker Holmgren is a Professor in Scientific Computing at Uppsala University, Sweden. He is a national delegate and member of the Excecutive Board of the European e-Infrastructure Reflection Group (e-IRG), During the European Strategy Forum for Research Infrastructure (ESFRI) Roadmap 2018 process, He was a member of the ESFRI Working Group on implementation of research infrastructures, and he is a regularly invited as an expert on e-infrastructures in the Swedish ESFRI delegation.

Arturo Azcorra
Arturo Azcorra received his M.Sc. degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) in 1986 and his PhD from the same university in 1989. In 1993, he obtained an MBA with honors from Instituto de Empresa.
He is the founder and Director of the international research institute IMDEA Networks, with a double affiliation as Full Professor at University Carlos III of Madrid (UC3M).

Cees De Laat
Prof. dr. ir. Cees de Laat chairs the System and Network Engineering (SNE) laboratory at the Faculty of Science at University of Amsterdam. The SNE lab conducts research on leading-edge computer systems of all scales, ranging from global-scale systems and networks to embedded devices. His own work focusses on the developments of High Performance Networks and Secure Trusted Distributed Data Processing Systems. Liina-Maria Murano
Liina Munari is the Deputy Head of Unit at the unit C1 ”e-Infrastructure and Science Cloud” of the DG Connect of the European Commission in Luxembourg. With over 20 years experience at the service of the European institutions, she has worked in several sectors of EU technology research and innovation, including learning technologies, digital libraries and digital preservation. Her academic background is in international and European politics.

Patrick Garda
Scientific director of the Mathematics, ICT, Physics and Nanotechnologies sector at the French high education, Research and innovation Ministry. He develops different research strategies in those scientific domains and leads diferents initiatives and negociations to push research excellence at national and european levels. He is Full Professor at Sorbone University and acts at different chairing roles at thefrench and European research initiatives.

John Goodhue
John Goodhue is the Executive Director at Massachusetts Green High Performance Computing Center a joint project between MIT, the University of Massachusetts, Boston University, Northeastern University, and Harvard University to operate a scientific computing center to support the growing demands of faculty-driven research. His experience includes developing and delivering networking products and services to public telecommunications and Internet service providers, and high-performance computing systems for national laboratories and research institutions worldwide.
